About the Speakers

 

Jen Collado, BCBA, LBA (WA)

has served populations with developmental disabilities and autism in clinics, homes, schools, and residential facilities over the past 20+ years. She sits on the Executive Committee for the Washington Association for Behavior Analysis (WABA). In this role, Jen advocates for access to care through sustainable state programs and funder policies. She also advocates for consumer protections through appropriate state licensure and rules. Jen has served in clinical and operational leadership roles supporting compliance, quality, clinical operations performance management, and systems development. She has overseen organizations from early phase start ups through multi-state regions in complex, matrixed organizations, including systems and culture integration and denovo growth. Jen is passionate about ensuring access to care, clinical quality, compliance with standards and regulations, team development, building scalable and efficient operational systems, and compassionate and efficacious care.

Eileen Mendes 

was a founding member of the Massachusetts Coalition of ABA Providers (MassCAP), is Vice Chair of the Standards Committee for ACQ, and serves as Chair of the Professional Practice Committee of BABAT (Massachusetts Professionals in Behavior Analysis). Eileen has also served as a subject matter expert reviewer for the Council of Autism Service Providers (CASP) organizational guidelines and helped in the development of accreditation standards for ABA providers through the Autism Commission on Quality (ACQ). Eileen has worked in the human services field for the last 23 years across various states, leadership positions, and in both for profit and not-for-profit home and center based programs and special education schools. In these roles she supports initiatives related to risk, compliance, quality, licensing, accreditation, and related performance improvement initiatives.   Her areas of areas of expertise and interest include managing risk, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, quality improvement, licensing and accreditation activities, operational excellence, and trauma informed care.

Brandon Herscovitch, Ph.D., BCBA-D, LABA (MA, MO)

is a repeat entrepreneur in emerging applied behavior analysis (ABA) and autism markets. He successfully founded, operated, and sold an ABA agency (2006 - 2019). He is the founding (past) president of not-for-profit trade organization for ABA providers, and an ABA healthcare consulting practice owner. Brandon is the co-owner and CEO of a wearable tech co for monitoring and managing SIB in autism, and a co-patent author of the same technology. Brandon is Director of the Greenwood Interprofessional Autism Center which is a Truman State University program where he is also a professor of ABA. Brandon was a provider rep on the ABA CPT coding group, and has research publications related to self-injury, precursors, and managed care in autism.
